What has the partnership between RIT Certified and Element451 been like?

Our experience with Element451 has not been like purchasing off-the-shelf software from a big company at all. And you are a big company, but we would never know that with how our relationship is and the service that we get. From the time of implementation, I can remember Ardis [Kadiu, founder and CEO] getting online with us and drawing a jam board of our student journey. He understands everything about our business just as much as we do, truly. And he's as curious about innovating the ways that we do our business and how Element451 can help us as we are. So, it really is the perfect partnership due to the nature of the nontraditional education that we provide.

We're open enrollment, non-credit, professional training, and workforce development. Ardis and the whole Element451 team have been so willing to partner with us to bring, expand, and enhance the offerings within the Element451 platform to serve our needs so that we can truly meet every student where they are in our funnel, which is not the straight line traditional enrollment funnel. It's more of a circular ecosystem that serves a population who is seeking education. They call it the 65-year curriculum. So that's what we're serving: lifelong education and learning.

Element451 has shaped itself to not only serve our needs and our asks but is constantly innovating things that we cannot even dream of, that not only are making our jobs easier but ultimately helping us to serve these populations, these audiences, and these lifelong learners better.

How does Element451 help make your job easier?

We're a startup. At the time we were lifting the CRM, the Element451 platform, and we were lifting our LMS and CIS, we were lifting every platform, as well as creating our strategic plan and moving forward. Looking back twelve to 18 months ago, I could not imagine everything that we're doing within the Element451 system now.

I remember Ardis saying, because I was alone then in my marketing department and he said, "Kristina, you're going to feel like you have a team of ten working for you." And it really is true.

Everything that the platform can do, again, not only to help us do our job easier, but ultimately it's to get the right message and the right course or program to the student who is searching for this but doesn't know where to look. It helps us find them and then stay with them to enable their career transitions, and skill acquisition is needed throughout that ecosystem of lifelong learning.

How are you using Element451 to engage with students better?

Shortly after implementation, our Associate Director of Career Development and Student Support came on board. His ability to enable his team to connect with students in a timely and relevant manner, one-to-one, has grown. Element451 allows him and I to collaborate on messaging students from both a programmatic standpoint and one-on-one.

Additionally, our Data and Analytics Manager has worked closely with the Element451 data and analytics team to add fields and data to Element451 that enable us to, when a student is taking one course, automatically suggest the next course in a pathway for them that will enable them to reach their goals.
