What challenges were you trying to solve prior to using the Element451 platform?

At previous jobs we had graphic designers who are building emails and they have to get every single one individually built and approved and it's weeks long process as opposed to now. We create the templates, we get the templates approved, and then when we figure out we need to send an email today, we can just get it ready and it looks nice and it's ready to go by end of day as opposed to by end of day three weeks from now.

How are you using Element451 to engage with students better?

I found what we use for our newsletter now was based on Packs [pre-built email templates] with very small tweaks, and being able to start from there as opposed to starting completely from scratch was a really good use of time and helped me to be able to allow me to put more focus on the content of the newsletters as opposed to trying to figure out like, "how big should this image be" or other little details of the visuals.

So we're able to look more at our strategy and our timing of emails and look at the data and kind of what subject lines are working, what is getting better open rates, what's getting better click rates? And being able to play with little elements like taking off the image from the top of an email or having links in the intro paragraph, things like that, that I don't have to dedicate time to building each individual email so I can focus more on what's actually in it.

We have a marketing department of two, so it's a really great tool for working independently but not feeling totally lost at sea.

What would you say to a colleague interested in Element451?

I'd say it's a really good tool to streamline the process and to help you be able to effectively communicate with students and prospects. It definitely helps you streamline the process and get to the heart of what's important about the communications, which is getting your message across and getting the students the resources that they need. And it helps you focus on what you're doing as opposed to the little details that you might have to worry about with a less easy-to-use platform.
